Art is sometimes puzzling. Usually there is more than you get at first glance. Looking at artwork with folks who can help answer questions or give some background is a great way to learn more and enjoy an exhibition or an artist on a deeper level. Join us!
On select Tuesdays at 2 pm and one evening per exhibition, the public is welcome to join an informal and informative tour of the current exhibition. The tours are led by members of The Center’s curatorial staff or by trained volunteer docents who give their time to study the works in the exhibition and offer some insights about artists, subject, style and content. These tours are typically small and can be a conversation among friends or observations by trained art patrons.

The Center offers interactive gallery tours for students of all ages. Teachers are invited to schedule visits for specific exhibitions. While here, students will have the opportunity to discuss the current artwork on display, try their hand at media and processes exhibited and explore issues presented in the exhibition. In the past year, students from every school and every grade have toured the gallery.
